Garbanzo Bean Extravaganza

You read it correctly, Garbonzo Bean Extravaganza here at Organic Soup Kitchen….

Also known as chick peas, they are jam packed with protein and lots of yummy goodness.

Our recipe for the week is Garbonzo Bean Red Pepper Patties created by Tony

 

Take a can or sprouted chick peas and blend in a cuisinart

chop up some red peppers 2 or 3 and add to the cuisinart

add some spices and herbs to your liking,

then thicken up with flax seed powder

Form into patties and Voila!  Garbonzo Bean Patties

And bake away in the oven at 350 for 10-20 minutes depending on how crunchy you want the outside to be.

Organic Soup Kitchen partners with Transition House

Today was an honor to serve Transition House here in Santa Barbara.

Organic Soup Kitchen fed sixty meals tonight and made sixty lunches for the following day to help families in transition.  It was exciting and fun to be part of the Transition House team tonight.

Santa Barbara Magazine Recognizes Organic Soup Kitchen
